Health update 2

The radiologist did confirm today that there is a leak in my spinal cord. At this point, we are going to trust that it will heal itself. I get to start easing back into life tomorrow, understanding that life could include nausea, muffled hearing, and bad headaches until the leak is sealed. We are all in agreement that we want to trust God to close it and stay away from surgery. For some reason if it does not close, which it will, they can fix it surgically.

Over the next couple of months we will monitor the area of concern that appeared on my MRI last week. While we have concluded that all my struggles have come from the leak, we want to insure that there is not something else going on.

I cannot wait to get back to life!!! I am so blessed by our church, friends, and family! I’m SUPER EXCITED about all that God is doing!

Thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement!

Health Update

Wow! What a week it has been! Thank you for all your prayers & encouragement!

Last Tuesday I woke up with a headache and throughout the day it became worse. I drove to Tulsa to check on a few things and on the way back had a few abnormal things happen physically. Being the brilliant person I am, I chose to finish the turnpike before pulling over. I was met at the end by an ambulance & spent a little time in the ER.

After checking out I submitted myself to the care of my regular docs and they asked me to have an MRI done. The headaches continued with pretty major severity.

Long story short,  the doc’s feel like I have Spontaneous Inter-cranial hypo tension – a leak in my spinal cord. While this has proved to be very painful, and inconvenient, it is much less severe than some of the options we were looking at.

What now? We are calling BP to see if they can help plug the leak. (Just kidding) I will be talking to my doctor later this evening to decide what course of action to take to plug the leak. The problem is nobody knows where the leak is. So, pray that well find the leak – seal the leak – and go on about our business of seeing a city transformed!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for the care I have received from my wife, family, friends, church, and community! I am a blessed man! Thank you! God is good!

Thanks!

Journey Church,

THANK YOU! I am so proud of you! I am blessed by what God is doing in your lives!

On Sunday, May 23rd I shared with you about how we had been walking through a challenging time financially. I asked you to pray, do your part, be consistent, and hear God!

You did it!

Over the past weeks God has worked through you in a huge way! Our giving is great for the middle of the summer! Now, due to our attendance dropping in the summer, great giving still makes things tremendously tight, but your consistency is helping in a great way! So, THANK YOU!

What now? Keep doing your part, pray for others to do their part, and let’s trust God to move in a big time way!

Remember, your giving brings honor to God, releases his blessing on you, and furthers the mission of Christ! Keep bring obedient and remember – God really can do anything!!!
